Apple Officially cancelled its Wireless Charging Mat - AirPower.

Apple has recently announced that they are officially cancelling its Wireless Charging mat named AirPower, In an official Statement apple said that - “After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward.”

Airpower was first showcased at an event in 2017 and was about to launch in 2018 but with alot of delays people were still waiting for the AirPower eagerly. In recent times apple is having difficulties handling alot of products like Macbook Keyboard issue, and Slowing down older iphones due to deteriorating batteries.

As per the sources with a lot of wireless charging coils placed quite closely caused a lot of heat and it was quite difficult for apple engineers to contain the heat in a proper way. All of these engineering problems led apple to cancel the Airpower.
